concise and detailed analyses of major art works. Well worth visiting if you want to
learn how to write constructive criticism of art.

and major ceramics artists.  Recommended.
ThePotteries.org : An splendid site devoted to the history and operation of
England's famed Stoke-On-Trent potteries. In addition to a comprehensive history of
The Potteries, you'll also find all kinds of excellent information on pottery, famous
potters, how to read ceramic marks, and much, much more. Recommended.

Costume Design
Boys Historical Clothing : devoted to studying the changes in young boy's clothing from A. D. 1500 to the present.
The Costume Gallery : has many of images of costumes throughout history. Fashions
covered range from the days of the ancient Middle East to the present.
The Costume Page : a nice compendium of links to costume-related sites.
International Theater Design Archive : contains great links to scene designs, light designs, and costume designs as categorized by title, playwrite, designer, and producer. Very good.
UBC Costume Page : The University of British Columbia's easy-to-use costume page.

Current Events in the Arts

Arts and Letters Daily : timely articles and essays on the arts, philosophy, music,
literature and much more. The writing is scholarly, so most teenaged students may
need an adult's help in understanding some of this site's content.
ArtsJournal.com : a very good source for information regarding artistic, financial and
critical news relating to painting, dance, publishing, and other art forms. Good stuff!
